Precision Change is a blog and podcast for “personal development 201.” We go deeper, present multiple perspectives, cut through hype, and help you find what’s right for you.
Putting Personal Development in It’s Place
Change is exciting. You’ve realized the power to make significant changes in your health, your finances, your personal productivity, and your relationships. But let’s not get crazy about it, ok? Here we explore the joys and the limits of growth, and how to maintain balance and harmony as we continually engage more fully with life.
Who’s Responsible for This?
Host Duff McDuffee and Executive Producer Ryan Oelke take 100% responsibility for co-producing the weekly Precision Change podcast. But Duff reserves the right to regularly change his mind and contradict himself about anything he’s said or written.
The blog features articles from Duff and Ryan as well as Vincent Horn, host of Buddhist Geeks.
Duff and Ryan also offer Life Coaching for those wanting customized support in making a change.
Duff McDuffee, Host
Duff McDuffee is a Modern Magician. He has studied many esoteric tomes and learned many practical incantations for making change happen as a Life Coach, and in his own personal development.
In his youth, Duff had debilitating social anxiety and depression. He overcame this as an adult through a self-administered protocol of small acts of courage, linguistic reframing, following his bliss, and Friday night dance therapy. As a result of this success and years of autodidactic study, Duff gained the inspiration and skills to help others overcome their “impossible” problems.
Duff has studied the Enneagram, a personality type theory, since age 12. He has been deeply involved in the Integral community (a group of spiritual philosophy geeks who read tons of Ken Wilber and try to integrate everything), having worked for Ken’s Integral Institute. Duff has practiced Vipassana meditation intensively since 2003, is deeply steeped in the fascinating models of Neuro-Linguistic Programming, has been practicing GTD since 2004 (albeit in the remedial class), and received a B.A. in Philosophy from Lawrence University with a focus in the Cognitive Sciences.
Duff is Host of the Precision Change podcast. He’s also co-hosted about 25 episodes of Conscious Business, has been a guest on several episodes of Buddhist Geeks, and has co-facilitated a Philosophy dialogue group since 2004.
Duff has been working on the web ever since learning HTML in 1996. He is proud to have been part of several failed conscious business startups, and even more proud to have not lost his idealism. Precision Change is going to be the best personal development podcast ever!
You can get in touch with Duff by sending an email to duff [at] precisionchange [dot] com, or follow him on Twitter.

Ryan has spent the past year and a half developing his talents in the new media and podcasting world as the Executive Producer of five shows, including Precision Change, The New Man, and Buddhist Geeks, many of which are now on the Personal Life Media network. Ryan also has learned how to integrate creativity with the practical and business sides of bringing passion to a tangible, valuable result through spending over a year leading a start-up company. Recently, he founded a new media consulting company, PowerUp Productions, to help individuals and businesses amplify their online voices.
Ryan’s diversity of interests and passions allows him to work with a variety of content and genres. He has studied intensely subjects ranging from music, psychology, producing, and integral philosophy to writing, coaching, business, and leadership.
